Head Chef Ian Cofer

The head chef of Elaine's, Ian Cofer has received praise for his menu and culinary execution. A recent resident of Albuquerque, Chef Ian has worked in some of the finest restaurants in San Antonio, TX., his home town, since he was 16 years old but he started cooking Czechoslovakian food with his great-grandmother from early childhood.

Ian has studied under and was mentored by Jeff White of the famed James Beard House, and Christopher Carlson whose restaurant, The Maverick, he co-designed and developed from the ground up.

Ian’s experiences at The Maverick (French Brasserie) and The Boiler Room (Wine Garden & Steakhouse) have made him diverse in French and American Modern cuisines. He lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico with his wife Brianna and daughter Lennon.
